This beautiful Lake is in the heart of the Thames Valley and easily accessible for people from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

If you want to take up open water swimming, are training for a triathlon or just want to enjoy a safe and professionally run lake then Caversham Lake is the place to be!

Caversham Open Water Swim has three swim courses – 400m, 750m and 1500m plus plenty of space for SUPs and kayaks.

We’re open every day throughout the summer with fresh coffee, hot and cold food plus wine and beer from midday onwards.

  • Everyone welcome, experienced or first-timers

  • Children under 16 must be accompanied in the water

  • Everyone needs to complete a waiver form
  • No food or drink to be brought on site please

  • Changing area available or arrive ready to swim
  • Card or contactless payments only please
  • Social distancing measures will be in place

  • Please bring and wear suitable footwear

  • Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome

  • Please respect all on-site rules for your own safety
  • All swimmers must wear a swim hat in the water

  • There is an adjacent area for dog walking

Last entry into the lake is one hour before close.

Waiver Form

If this is your first time at the Lake this season then please fill out our Waiver Form before your first visit.

Before your first open water swim of the season at the Caversham Watersports Centre we ask all swimmers to complete an online waiver form (you will only need to complete the waiver form once for the season).
